@userthree I don't think it ever got to the level where it would be 'competitive' with 'regular' PDA's at the market (even then), but it worked well enough to be practically usable, and seeing Linux boot and actually being able to use an on-device shell or SSH into the device was pretty neat :).

@256 It's like a gameboy with a huge screen!

@256

It looks like the DIY projects people are doing now a days. Pretty cool.

@256 the part that always cracks me up is the "SoundsGood" handspring module featured on the bottom right. the remains of that company actually _did_ wind up in Good Technology, the enterprise MDM vendor.

@256 some things are better back in the day. Technology, ironically, is one of those things at times.

@256 I still use my Visor regularly for PIM data I don't want on the internet (aka as much of it as I can get away with). I use my iPhone for three things only: Calls, Texts, and Mahjong. The first two are to keep people off my back about having a smartphone and the third to keep me from screaming at all the dumb stuff dreamed up at work.

@256 I still have one or two of these around, with the GPS module. No idea if they still work.

@256 Wth is that unreadable text? The 2.0 line spacing, the evil line brakes (How can you do a brake between digital and camera 😭)

@256 The one after brakes a sentence after the first word. It's the perfect "bad typesetting 101" storm 🤯

@256 Extra points for "Visit us online" and then not having a link to the website 👍

@256 Wow, do I ever miss tech from those years.

@256 Ah, I miss the days where it seemed like portable gadgets were like this: colorful and "fun"...

@Starstorm_X1 @256 They were colorful and fun!
