@kicad are STEP files exported correctly with holes created from edge cuts in your layouts?
I experience problems. Also, the fill areas are not exported correctly with spacing around the traces, etc.

However, the issue does not mention the problem with the fill areas.
@tinx please open a ticket with an example board showing the issue you are experiencing
@kicad I can't seem to reproduce it easily with a fresh project. I will test my project again after above bug is fixed and report back if the problem prevails.
