A pretty cool list of command line tools written in Rust lib.rs/command-line-utilities

:flan_aww:

At first glances, these projects look super cool

- petname

Generate human readable random names. Usable as a library and from the command-line.

- gfold

CLI tool to help keep track of your Git repositories

- procs

A modern replacement for ps

- t-rec

Blazingly fast terminal recorder that generates animated gif images for the web written in rust

- gpg-tui

Manage your GnuPG keys with ease!

@solene
t-rec sounds like an interesting alternative for asciienema, or whatever it's actually called.

@efraim @solene there are so many cool new cli tools. Too bad that it takes ages to get them into the default repos of distributions like Debian or Ubuntu. If I get used to them, I want to use them on the servers as well and often I'm not able to install them without pain. Maybe I need something like a portable version of home manager or similar 🤔

@efraim @solene or a huge, self built Appimage that contains all the tools which I can copy over. Not sure if that's possible though...
