@jcarnat I can understand it could be hard to figure why NixOS is interesting.

It's super different compared to the traditionals OS. Everyone may not like it.

OpenBSD feels like a simple system handcrafted 🛠️ that we take care of, we know how it works.

NixOS is like creating a 3D model for a 3D printer to print and enjoy the result

@solene @jcarnat well most of the people I know spend more time on tweaking and improving their 3D printers then actually printing stuff they need. I think a good njx/NixOS config heads in the same direction. I spend somewhat time in setting up a good env using home manager and then decided I might go back to regular Arch, just because I feel I'm faster there. (to be fair I'm not used to the nix syntax and have to do lots of trial and error)

@solene @jcarnat also that it's not possible to "just run" a random binary is kind of a deal breaker for me as a developer.
